Background Born 1966 in Essex, England. Obtained a B.T.E.C. Diploma in Visual Information Design, specialising in Photography, before working as a photographer for the Ministry of Defence. Provided P.R. stills and video, record photography and high speed documentary cinematography. In May 1986 moved into the private sector as in house photographer for Imagination Ltd, a London based design and presentations company. Covered events staged by the company, supplied corporate brochure, audio-visual, special effects and illustrative photography for clients including, the Ford Motor Company, Disney Corporation, British Airways, Holiday Inns, the EEC, Save the Children Fund and British Telecom. Left Imagination Ltd to freelance in 1992 and migrated to Australia in November 1993. Now a resident of Creswick, Victoria and working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer servicing clients Australia wide. Recent Work ‘THE BIG MAYBE’ – 16mm black and white short film in 40’s detective genre. Winner of a Nescafe short film award. Currently showing at the Sundance film festival. On set as assistant lighting director. ‘FEDERATION ROADSHOW’ – Central presentation in a touring roadshow visiting 45 towns throughout Australia during federation year. Widescreen video presentation. ‘EXPO 2000’ - Widescreen presentation in the Australian Pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany. Consisted of high definition motion control timelapse sequences of well known sites around Australia. Awarded a silver award for corporate film in the 2001 New York Film Festival. ‘NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK AGM’ - Audio visual for annual general meeting at the Melbourne Congress Centre. A hybrid presentation using both still photography and footage originated on DVCAM digital video. ‘CHULLORA DOCUMENTARY’ - Documentary for Fairfax Print Museum in Sydney. Chief lighting director for both location and studio components. ‘COFFEE’ – Widescreen 16 projector audio-visual produced for AAV Australia. Winner of silver award for single photographic image at the Sydney FOCUS awards. ‘VIC ON SHOW’ - 28 projector audio-visual on the Victorian Premiers exhibit at the opening of the new Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Awarded ‘Special Exhibition Award’ for audio-visual excellence. ‘DESIGNERS SATURDAY’ – 12 projector, 3 screen audio-visual for Chris Connel, interior designer. Awarded best of festival for photography and a silver award for single image at the Sydney FOCUS awards. CORPORATE VIDEOS for clients including Glaxo, Grenda Buslines, Iveco Truck, Calpeda Pumps, Pioneer Seeds, Ballarat Health Services and Intervet. TVC's for clients including Pauls' Milk, Murrumbidgee Irrigation, Intervet, Le Kitchen and McCaig Airconditionig. |
